Information on Registering for PS Student Records Classes

Home

Registration for classes can be done online - follow the link (Register for Classes) at left.

  • All sessions for each class are listed through the registration system link at left - some may have been filled, and if so, will not be available on the web registration system.
  • Confirmation e-mails will be sent every Monday of that week's classes to each attendee.
  • Online web registration will only work for sessions you are signing yourself up for. If you need to register new staff in your office for one or more of our sessions, please send an e-mail to us at Student Records Training Team, including the sessions and dates you'd like, along with the new staff person's name and ID.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Prerequisites will be enforced for all classes (i.e., in order to take Student Data Update, you must already have attended Student Data Inquiry). Instructors will be asking at the beginning of each session if all users have attended the prerequisite classes, and if they haven't, they will be asked to leave.
  • If you are in urgent need of training and/or access to PeopleSoft, please contact us directly - we will make every effort to work with you to meet the needs of your job responsibilities.
  • If you have specific questions on the sessions, please feel free to contact us at Student Records Training Team.

It is important to sign up for training early and attend the session(s) for which you are scheduled. If you are not able to attend a session for which you are registered, please update your information online by dropping the course for which you are registered. You may register for the next available session if desired.

You can request update access to Admissions by contacting Kevin Adams at adams171@umn.edu; you can request update access to Financial Aid by contacting Holly Johnson at reedx005@umn.edu; you can request update access to Student Financials (quick post and group post) by contacting sfhelp@umn.edu.

If you do not yet have access to PeopleSoft, you can request access using the Access Request Form. The form is available on the Web here. Access to PeopleSoft is NOT required to attend training.

Please contact us for specialized training, such as advisor training, departmental training, comments entry.
